Our History

National Christian Academy was founded in 1982 by Dr. Janice Lowery.  N.C.A., called the Light on the Hill, provides an affordable quality Christian education in a safe and loving atmosphere where students are prepared for Christ and for college. The academy has built a reputation on our well trained, committed, Godly and experienced staff. Our objective is to train students to have high spiritual moral values, to help students excel in their academic pursuits, and to win them to Christ.

N.C.A. enrolls students from K3 through 12th grade. The academy is a nine acre campus located in Fort Washington, Maryland.  The academy has 35 large classrooms to accommodate an average student-teacher ratio of 22 to 1. The academy has numerous extra curricular activities to cultivate the gifts and talents of approximately 500 to 600 students. Since the first graduating class of 1986, N.C.A. has produced numerous college graduates and Godly community leaders across this great nation.

Mission Statements
